The Head of the International University of Islamic Denominations said that the university is a center for shaping thought in society, and its role in the national political sphere has always been distinctive.

Dr. Fallahzadeh explained on Saturday evening, in a meeting with university professors and academic and Denominations elites in Kurdistan at the University of Kurdistan, that the university is the center of thought and knowledge in society, and that the stagnation of the university leads to the stagnation of science, culture, and society as a whole. The President of the International University of Islamic Denominations added that this university was established in the early days of the victory of the Islamic Revolution based on a strategic and faith-based vision. He pointed out that the university accepts students from inside and outside the country in three stages—bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels—and that its goal is to create an environment of coexistence and mutual cooperation among all students. He stressed that the International University of Islamic Denominations is the only university in the world where the four major Islamic schools of thought are taught. He also announced that the university has four branches inside the country, one of which is located in the province of Kurdistan. Fallahzadeh emphasized the necessity of Muslim unity as one of the most important needs of today’s Islamic world, explaining that the lack of adherence to the life and conduct of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) is the main reason behind the problems of the Islamic Ummah. He added that in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ethnic and religious identities of different components of the Iranian people have been recognized, and through this recognition, the foundations of unity and cohesion within Iranian Islamic society can be strengthened. He explained that constructing discourse is a difficult process, but when it concerns national security, we see a strong Iran in which all ethnicities and denominations play an active role. He noted that the lack of harmony and political coordination, along with regional rivalries among Islamic countries, are among the most serious afflictions of the Islamic Ummah, and these must be overcome through cooperation and unity among Muslims. He pointed out that narrow and simplistic interpretations of Islam have caused many of the disasters that have befallen the Islamic world, and therefore, the elites of the Islamic Ummah have a special responsibility in addressing these crises. At the conclusion of the session, Mamousta Faeq Rostami, the Friday Prayer Leader of Sanandaj and representative of the people of Kurdistan in the Assembly of Experts, emphasized the necessity of unity and solidarity in the Islamic world in confronting the enemies' conspiracies, noting that the role of scholars and elites in enlightening society and guiding it toward progress and dignity is essential, and must be carried out with wisdom and insight.
